Credits: Rambert Dance Company, Ballet Russe of Swansea, Vienna Festival Ballet – Coppelia, Swan Lake, Giselle
Other credits: Registered RAD Ballet Teacher and I-Path syllabus. Choreographer for 7 of NWBT’s major productions.
Fun Fact: Sarah is also a citizen of Aotearoa.

Ella-Louise Appleby
Born: South Wales
Training: Jacqui Everson’s Gemini School of Dance, Wales and the West Cecchetti Associates, Ballet Cymru Associate Programme
New Works Ballet Theatre credits: Wuthering Heights (Isabella), Hansel and Gretel (Queen of the Stars).
Credits: The Royal Danish Opera, Tivoli Ballet Theatre, Brecon Festival Ballet, International Classic Ballet Theatre, International Festival Ballet and most recently on multiple projects with JPM at The Royal Opera House.
Fun fact: Ella is a brand ambassador for Gaynor Minden pointe shoes.

Born: West Wales
Training: The School of Ballet Theatre UK, postgraduate preprofessional course with Ballet Cymru 2, Milwaukee Ballet Second Company.
New Works Ballet Theatre credits: Wuthering Heights (Hindley), Hansel and Gretel (Hansel).
Other credits: Toured with the BTUK professional company with their production of Giselle, Milwaukee Ballet Second Company, Glenn Lambrecht Company in Belgium for their production of Cogetama.
Also choreographing and teaching for local West Wales based theatre companies. More recently dancing for a film used on stage as part of the stage show for an artist in 2025 at Coachella.
Fun fact: Max is part of S3 (Safe Space to Speak) a youth board for improving young people’s mental health, wellbeing and opportunities in West Wales.

Born in Pontypool, Wales.
Kai trained at Bird Collage and Royal Welsh Collage of Music and Drama.
New Works Ballet Theatre credits: The Symphonists (Conductor) and Rebecca’s Tale (Jack Favell), The Little Mermaid (Regina, the Lover), Wuthering Heights (Mr Lockwood/Edgar Linton), Hansel and Gretel (Madame Ginger).
Other credits include “Jack and the Beanstalk” (Buttycup), “Lost boys and Faries”, Explore R&D with Ransack Dance Company. Musical Director for “The Wedding Singer”, “Matilda” and “The Future is ours”. Also, composer for “Two cute Ghosts”, “Firefly”, “The Future is ours” and “NATURPonty”, choreographer for “Spaces”, as well as Assistant Choreographer for “Popeth Ar Y Ddaear”.
Fun fact: Kai loves trampolining and goes at least once a week!

Other credits: Choreographed Shades of Blue for NWBT and Broceliande and The Nutcracker Suite for NWBT Associates, Dance Coach for NWBT Associates, featured Bristol Artist for recent Bristol Museum film, featured and choreographed for RWA’s film exhibit in 2026.

Joseph Powell-Main
Born: Mid -Wales
Training: Royal Ballet School Associates, Elmhurst Associates, Royal Ballet School – White Lodge, Arden School of Theatre.
New Works Ballet Theatre credits: Wuthering Heights (Heathcliff), Hansel and Gretel (Man in the Moon).
Credits: Wheelchair Latin and Ballroom National competitions, with title held at the UK National Para Dance Champion 2017-2019, : Apprentice and Company Dancer at Ballet Cymru (2019 – 2021), Guest Artist with The Royal Ballet for 2021 Paralympic Homecoming performance and The Sleepwalker, Company dancer for projects with Southpaw Dance Company, Sweetshop Revolution, Propel Dance and Humans Move, Choreographer and performer for Undone for One Young World 2022, Choreographer and performer for Learning and Participation programme for The Royal Ballet and Opera and Choreographer and Performer for Lady of Llyn y Fan Fach a work in progress which will be showcased for the first time in Wales, as part of Arrive at Home presented by Ransack Dance.
Joe is the founder of his production company JPM Productions (which had previously existed unofficial capacity), dedicated to developing original dance works through collaborations with leading dance companies and independent projects too. Alongside his performance and choreographic career Joe advocates for access and inclusion in dance through charity patronship and advising leading dance organisations.
